Ogunbowale's 33 Shocks #1 UConn 2016, ND in Final 4

UConn could still win our all-time Value Add Basketball Game women's tournament, but it will need to be delivered by Maya Moore's 2010 squad.

Notre Dame's 2018 squad rode the first 30-point women's performance in our game to a Final Four Match-up with Louisiana Tech 1982. I played the game during the ACC Women's Tournament and waiting for the Marquette vs UConn women's semifinal in the Big East women's tournament.

The All-Time Women's Final Four

4-seed Louisiana Tech 1982 vs. 12-seed Notre Dame 2018

3-seed Tennessee 1998 vs. 2-seed UConn 2010

Notre Dame survived their first two games, upsetting Texas A&M 76-69 and then pulling out a miracle come from behind upset of Stanford 2021 by intentionally missing a free throw and grabbing a rebound to score and send the game to overtime - eventually won 87-84. Meanwhile UConn destroyed Long Beach State 98-53 to justify their selection as the 1-seed.

Arike Ogunbowale was simply unstoppable in a 33-point performance - the first woman in this initial woman's tournament to score 30 points in a game. It was still within 61-54 with 6:26 (11 possessions) left to go, when Ogybowale grabbed an offensive rebound an passed to Marina Mabry who scored to make it 63-54. Ogybowale then hit a 3-pointer to make it 66-54, then Mabry started a couple of breaks off of steals and passed ahead to Ogybowale to finish as Notre Dame pulled away in a stunner.
