Furman Added to List of Potential New Value Add Basketball Game

The 137 great college basketball teams currently in the Value Add Basketball Game are from 1943 through 2021. When we consider adding teams, the top priority is a team from a college that does not yet have a team in the game, or at least has not had a team for a long time.

We also consider how strong the team is, and if they featured and All-American. On that last note, we are considering reaching back a few years to 2019 Murray State due to Ja Morant's incredible NBA career on top of his College All-American season. We also may add a second team from the 2020 Covid shortened season in Seton Hall and All-American Myles Powell. We did play out the 2020 season due to Covid, but so far only added Dayton to the game. 

Since we do not have any 2022 or 2023 teams yet, St. Peter's stunning run last year to the Elite 8 makes them a prime candidate for the game, while the upsets yesterday by Princeton and Furman have them on our potential list, as well as Florida Atlantic for being a 9-seed.
