Astros and Red Sox - Game 1 of ALCS Statis-Pro

With the Astros having rallies from down 2 games to 1 to win the real ALCS, the two teams also made it to the Statis-Pro ALCS and kicked off Game 1 today.

ALCS Game 1.

We expect a close series with close games and these two teams didn't disappoint. The first 5 innings provided a crazy back and forth with three lead changes. Yordan Alvarez doubled in two runs to give Astros a 3-1 lead after 3. But a huge error by the normally sure handed Carlos Correa opened the door to 3-unearned runs for the Red Sox in the 4th. Kike Hernandez capped the rally with a 2-run 2B. However in the 5th, the Astros counter with two solo shots one from Kyle Tucker and then Alex Bregman to seesaw back up 5-4 after 5. The bullpens take it from there and no one scores again. Astros hang on for a tight 5-4 win.
