WE HAD TO REPLAY THIS GAME AFTER Toussaint's card was left out of UVa's 2018 player cards. However, the result was virtually the same. Here is the result of the replayed game that counts - a 81-57 UConn win.
The 1995 UConn women started the game on a 24-7 run to make it 44-27, and the University of Virginia 2018 team never threatened in a 78-53 final. The 25-point margin was just enough to move the team past the 2016 UConn team for 6th place all-time in our game.

UConn's two big players, Rebecca Lobo (8 points, 13 rebounds) and Kara Wolters (game-high 18 points and 8 rebounds) fell just short of outrebounding the entire UVA team (23 total rebounds).
The top 16 women's teams in our game have now all played at least one game.
