LA Dodgers 3, Pittsburgh 2 (11), then LA 8-1 (sweep)
After surprising slow start to season for Dodgers, Betts and Taylor both went 4-8 with a homer. In first game Dodgers relievers threw 5 scoreless innings for 11 inning run, and in nightcap Buehler threw 7 scoreless innings for sweep.
The Cubs Hendricks threw 8 innings and allowed only 3 hits in a 2-1 win, then the Braves Fried threw 6 innings of 1-hit ball inna 5-1 win. Freeman went 3 of 8 with a triple and a homer, but the Braves failed to win the first game because Wrigley Field was just big enough to hold d'Arnaud's deep drive (drew a 56, and 11-55 is homer, 56-88 is deep fly). The Braves pitchers did not allow any Homer's, but the Cubs Happ did go 3 of 8 with 2 doubles.
