All Statis-Pro sheets are now organized batters, fielders then pitchers for each team. Click here for the Statis-Pro cards for all 30 teams then print any two teams and follow instructions in the free Statis-Pro baseball game. If a players has an "add HR" or "minus HR" you only adjust the Home Run Range, then the next three numbers from that are the DEEP numbers and the next number is the new beginning of the strikeout range. Do not change the end of the strikeout range.

Murray Slugs Orioles to 2nd Place Behind Maddux' Braves; Marlins Rally Falls Short
Devon White came to the plate as the go-ahead run in the top of the 9th inning, already having three hits including a double, but reliever Don Maragiello escaped by catching him looking for a 6-4 win.
The 1983 Baltimore Orioles hero was Eddie Murray, who went three for four with a home run, a hard singled that skipped past the 1997 Florida Marlins Gary Sheffield, and an RBO single. Cal Ripken hit a deep drive that was caught at the wall. With teams averaging fewer than 3 runs a game in games between ace pitchers, this game was different with 21 total hits. When No. 4 starters have faced each other, teams average more than the all-time 4.5 runs per game in MLB history, but when great pitchers face great batters we would expect pitchers to have the edge in these Statis-Pro baseball games since they action starts on their cards, we'd expect it to be about 50-50 in Strat-o-Matic where it is is exactly 50-50 and we'd expect batters to have the edge in APBA where the action is usually based on the batter's card.
For second game in a row a player was ejected, and this time it actually seemed very logical. The Orioles had jumped on the sometimes hot-headed Kevin Brown in the 4th inning for Murray's home, then a walk by John Lowenstein and then and RBI double by Jim Dwyer, which led to Brown arguing and being ejected. Livan Hernandez did get MVP in the 1997 season with playoff dominance, but Brown was even better during the season hand has a slightly better card.
Mike Boddicker, with one of the greatest curve balls in history, was tagged for 8 hits in 7 innings pitched, including a leadoff single. He left after a lead off single in the 8th, but ace reliever Tippy Martinez ran out of endurance after allowing a 9th inning double by Cliff Johnson and then RBI single to Jeff Conine to make it 6-3.
Needing only one out for the save Morogiello then allowed the 8th and 9th batters to reach, a walk by Kurt Abbott then RBI single by Edgar Renteria - who like Ripken had just missed a home run on a deep drive earlier, before finally catching lead off hitter White looking to escape with a very shake save and 6-4 win.
The 1995 Atlanta Braves are the only team in the South that is already 2-0, but the 1-0 mark and 2-plus margin puts these 1983 Orioles in 2nd place in the South.

Bellinger and Snell Best Free Agents Landed - All Statis-Pro Cards to Land with Teams Shown
We went through the 2024 Statis-Pro players who were free agents when we calculated those sheets, but are not on a team. The are now sorted and with their team on this link to all cards in sheet form.
Below are the players assigned today with some of the columns shown. Here are the pitchers first, in alphabetical order by team. Explaining the columns below:
Jordan Montgomery - now pitches for Arizona (Ari) and is left-handed (L). We recommend he is 3rd in the teams rotation (Rot 3) and has the second best PB rating (2-8). His endurance (SR15) allows him to give up a total of 15 of any of the following before running out of endurance and having his PB reduced for every subsequent allowed - subtract one of the 15 for every hit, hit by pitch and walk (and then a second number reduced for anyone who reaches one of those three ways and then scores) as well as 1 every time he is pitching and the inning ends. His Max IP is 7 - meaning that even if his 15 has not run out he runs out of endurance at the end of the 7th inning. His projected ERA is 3.89.
Jesse Chavez - And Atlanta right-handed reliever, who has the average PB (4-7) and instead of SR has an RR of 3, meaning he can allow only that many before getting tired. While his Max IP is 2, for relievers that is one higher than they usually pitch - they are just allowed to pitch in part of two inning if they come into one inning after runners are on base and conclude it as one of their innings. For relievers we list letters, and the D under Rotation for him means we suggest him as the 4th best reliever.
Team | Pitcher now on team | Th | Rot | PB | SR | RR | Max IP | ERA |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Ari | Jordan Montgomery | L | 3 | 2'-8 | 15 | 0 | 7 | 3.89 |
Atl | Jesse Chavez | R | d | 4'-7 | 0 | 3 | 2 | 4.31 |
Bos | Liam Hendriks | R | h | 2'-7 | 0 | 2 | 2 | 3.62 |

Pit | Domingo Germán | R | 7 | 2'-7 | 14 | 0 | 7 | 4.32 |
SEA | Ryne Stanek | R | E | 2'-6 | 0 | 3 | 2 | 4.13 |

Average top 500 | 1 | 4'-7 | 6 | 4 | 3 | 4.22 |
For the batters we will run through the column for the best free agent card assigned to a team - Cody Bellinger who ended up back with the Cubs. The "4" to the left indicates we suggest hitting him in the No. 4 spot (LU is line-up and 4). He is a left-handed power hitter (LP) and his sheet gives him the standard platoon of 13/88 meaning he strikes out on 11-13 against a lefty but turns and out into a single on 88 when facing a right-handed pitcher.

Last Statis-Pro World Series Finale So Similar to Real World Series
Sometimes our actual jobs get in the way and we just don't have time for board games, but we finally did finish up the Statis-Pro World Series.
In the actual World Series the Texas Rangers tied the Houston Astros in the regular season atop the AL West standings, but lost the tie-breaker for a bye, then beat them in a 7-game AL Championships and then won World Series. In the Statis-Pro season it was the Astros who took the AL and then won the World Series in a come-from-behind Game 7 (see below).
In the actual NL the Arizona Diamondbacks beat out the Chicago Cubs by one game for the last wildcard spot, then went all the way to the World Series. What might have been if the Cubs had won one more game, as in Statis-Pro they made the surprise run from wild card to the World Series before losing to the Astros. The box score of Game 7 is below.
Since going to the 6-team league playoff format the last two years, the average World Series contender has gotten there despite winning only 0.566 percent of their games. Our joke now is that the Statis-Pro World Series is more accurate than the real World Series because the top teams do not suffer from "rust" while waiting for the 3-game wild card series before they can get back on the field.
As the chart shows at the bottom of this blog, the average Statis-Pro World Series participant has had a 0.602 winning percentage in the actual MLB season in which they made the Statis-Pro World Series, and those teams have also had a 0.587 winning percentage the season before - important because the Statis-Pro rosters are the same as the current MLB roster, but the cards are derived from stats either completely or mostly based on the previous season stats.
In other words, Statis-Pro is more likely to produce a better regular season champion than the actual current MLB Playoff system where the four best teams have to wait several days between games.
Here is the decisive Game 7, followed by a list of our Statis-Pro World Series matchups over the years:
As in most games in this Statis-Pro World Series, the Cubs jumped on top. Patrick Wisdom launched a solo home run and then two batters later Ian Happ smacked a 2-run homer.
Chicago took another 3-0 lead.
At a time in which small ball is returning due to the bases being closer together to enable more advancing on the bases, a sacrifice fly RBI (Altuve) and an RBI groundout (Tucker) helped the Astros fight back to within 3-2 after six innings.
Next, it was time for the Cubs’ bullpen to crack, Brandon Hughes surrendered the big 2-run blast to Kyle Tucker. Houston added an insurance run, while the bullpen held on for the 5-3 win.
Astros are champs again!
And here is the history of Statis-Pro World Series champs.

Cubs Win! Advance to Face Statis-Pro Dodgers
While the Texas Rangers were winning a thrilling Game 1 of the World Series with a game-tying homer in the 9th and game-winning homer in the 11th, the Cubs were winning the opening series in your "what if" Statis-Pro playoff and will now face the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Braves will play the Phillies in the other series, and the Astros have already won the AL Statis-Pro.
In actual MLB it was the Diamondbacks who made the playoffs by 1 game over the Cubs and are now in the World Series while in Statis-Pro it was the DBacks who missed the playoffs by one game and the Cubs trying to make the same run.
Joc Pederson homered off Jason Steele in the first inning to give the Giants a 1-0 lead, but Steele did not allow another baserunner in seven innings and the Giants hit only 0.145 in the entire two game sweep.
Webb, the first of two PB 2-8 starters for the Giants, made the 1-0 lead hold up until Cody Bellinger tied it with an RBI triple and then scored on a Dansby Swanson single to make it 2-1. In the eighth Seija Suzuki singled and Ian Happ doubled him home and the 3-1 lead held up.

Statis-Pro Actual Cards Complete (106 pages - Aaron Judge as example)
Happy Easter to all my fellow Christians and good cheer to the rest of you!
Click here for all 2023 Batters's cards. This is a google doc, and if you do not use google docs feel free to simply email me at pudnerjohn@gmail.com and I will send the same file to you in word or PDF. It is 106 pages to print, with 9 players to a sheet.
There are three sheets of paper for each team, and if you do not see a player they may be at the bottom as "Free agents," like the teams in alphabetical order, but if you still do not see a card for a player then go to the last page and pick the card with the OPS closest to the missing player.
Here is one page of the Yankees as an example, with Aaron Judge and his 24-33 Home Run range (not to mention any he adds on Deep Drives) and 58-68 walk range.
Click here for the pitchers' cards, and for those of you new to Statis-Pro Baseball, here are directions and all you need to play Statis-Pro Baseball for free - all free though once you start playing you may find buying a Fast Action Card deck from someone on-line really makes the game flow even better.
Note on Free Agents and Replacement Cards (see below) -Most of the free agent pickups are already reflected in the cards, but a few exceptions: Frenchy Cordero is with Baltimore in the game but ended up with the Yankees, Four cards with the free agents are now with teams - David Peralta (LAD), Donaovan Solano (MIN), Jurickson Profar (COL) and Robbie Grossman (TEX). Two players for which we did not project a card ended up with teams - AJ Pollock (SEA) and Nelson Cruz (SD). Since we do not have a card, we go to the last page and pick the range with the projected OPS (between .700 and .750 for both of them) and since they are both projected to have just a couple of steals they both get a OBR/SP of D/D. We have circled this.
