Mets Face Old Ace Scherzer and Blue Jays in Statis-Pro

Update Results:

After homers and triples in the first few innings for both teams, it came down to the speed of the Blue Jays pinch runner Myles Straw, who stole 2nd and 3rd base before scoring the game-winning run in the 8th inning of a 3-2 win over the Mets.

Pete Alonso benefitted from the in season "add 2 HR" which turned the 33 random number from a strikeout to. Deep drive, and then a 16 was easily within the Rogers Centre 11-43 home run range on deep drives.

In the bottom of the first  Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Led off with a home to make ot 1-1, and Anthony Santander would have had a deep drive to potentially start the game with back to back homers except that his minus 2 home runs adjustment changed the 32 from a deep drive to a strike out. The Cubs would need to beat deGrom in the next game to be the only NL team to start 4-1 besides the Padres, but each NL team's 6th start will feature their ace against an AL team's No. 4 starter to flip the Game 5 advantage the AL teams had.

Below was the pregame:

The Mets Tylor Megill is still on the 15-day DL and hasn't pitched in several weeks, while their former ace Max Scherzer has only pitched once for the Blue Jays before returning from DL to get in a few recent starts - but his Statis-Pro card is the best on the Blue Jays so he is their ace in our game. However, they are our next pitcher match-ups because we play "what-if" format where we use the player cards unless the player goes on 60-day DL or is out for the season, or goes to another team.

Details of match-up and pictures of the Statis-Pro cards to be pasted below as we play the latest AL ace vs. NL No. 4 starter match-up using the cards in the free Statis-Pro game

Below is a photo of the Mets line-up with the Blue Jays pitchers sheet underneath starting with Scherzer. Then below that is the Blue Jays line-up with Mets pitchers laid under them.

If a player had one of the 200 best WAR ratings when we checked last month that is listed by their name, and if a batter has exceeded projections by a wide margin then we've made an in season HR adjustment or vice versa. The player links are listed in the same order below with links to their sheet at Baseball Reference.
