Here was our update on the last couple of innings posted earlier.
Having stunned the NY Yankees with two walk off homers in the AL playoffs, the Mariners rallied from down 9-5 in Game 4 of the Statis-Pro World Series.
Both starters lasted only two innings, and closers were long gone to get out of earlier jams, when JP Crawford hit a clutch 3-run double in the bottom of the 8th to pull the Seattle Mariners back within 9-8 against the LA Dodgers.
In the 9th Josh Rojas reached on an error by Dodgers pitcher Gavin Stone, the second error on the Dodgers in addition to an incredible four errors by Seattle after an error free game 3 game won 2-1 by the Dodgers.
Rojas stole second base, and went to third on a pinch hit grounder by Dominic Canzone to leave him 90 feet away with the game tying run with two outs in the bottom of the 9th.
Stone, an average PB 4-7, left the pitch up on a PB 9 meaning a 28-38 on Julio Rodriguez great card would likely leave the park for another walk off homer and 10-9 win for Seattle. An out would end the Statis-Pro World Series with a Dodgers 4 games to 0 sweep. Anything in between with the tying run scoring would not only guarantee at least extra innings but also put J-Rod on base with his best possible A/AAA speed and a chance to cross home with a game-winning run himself.
And the result ... will be posted shortly tonight with a full-wrap and box score ...
Developing ...FINAL! And if you look closely at the big picture, a black 52 is the last RN (Random Number) to land in the strikeout range for Rodriguez in a game in which he reached four of six times.
The 2024 Statis-Pro season is over in a series that started with high school friends in the 1980s, though skipped some years.
