Wow! Update 72-72 after regulation! Left for real marquette game - overtime has to wait!
Next up we will play a game without quite as big a spread.
One of the most underrated teams - the Rutgers 1976 Final 4 squad that also flirted with being an undefeated national champ in the last year of an undefeated national champ in Indiana. True it was lighter competition with the Big East not yet dominating - but four if their starters went onto the NBA. Their fast pace +7 means we use an extra scoresheet to play 51 instead of 44 possessions after starting with the 20-20 tie.
On the other side one of our new teams from the last few years as we tried to add representatives from schools with good runs that did not yet have a school in the game. This Duquesne team won their first tournament game since the 1960s, and it came as a legit 11-seed in a stunner if BYU that was its 9th straight win including two wins against ranked teams as Dayton was the other victim in the tough A-10. Only a 13-point underdog in our game.
