Cameron Crazies need 5-point Duke Win to Take Title from UNC

The Cameron Crazies hope they get a few calls and beat UNC in the clash for the all-time greatest college program based on the Value Add Basketball Game. 

After years of great visits for our great teams in the game, the addition of the 120 great players to let us break them down for fantasy players has been quite a hit with 32,546 new visitors in December, about twice our second best month ever.

We've just used the individual players to create a quick 3-team round robin of the only three teams with at least five all-time great players in the game, and the Cameron Crazies hope the trend will continue of the first two games being won by the team with the home advantage (switching rolls of 36 to 66 and vice versa), which gave Reggie Miller three extra free throws against Duke for a 2-point UCLA win.

Round Robin

Duke 81 at UCLA 83

UCLA 67 at UNC 75

UCLA eliminated with 1-1 record and a -6 differential

UNC (+8 margin so far) at Duke (-2 margin so far)

Scenarios:

UNC wins round robin with a win by virtue of a 2-0 record.

UNC wins in overtime game (we count as 1-point win or loss if OT) or loss by 1, 2, 3 or 4 point loss by virtue of all teams finishing 1-1 and best overall margin of at least +4.

Duke wins round robin with 5 point win by virtue of all teams finishing 1-1, Duke and UNC tying with +3 overall margins, and then Duke having head-to-head win over UNC.

Duke wins round robin with 6 point win or more by virtue of best margin of at least +4.

We normally use the scoresheet with the game, but if we want record every play in a big game like this, we put the scoresheet info on this spreadsheet and record each play. Below are the line-ups and the first couple of possessions on the sheet if you are not using the scoresheet. Keep in mind you need the scoresheet both for the rebound chart -used every other possession, and to know which defensive player gets the automatic defensive rebounds on the possessions in between (see third column).
