Seattle Represents All-Time WAC; New Pac-8 Ranks 5th - Ahead of ACC

Seattle 1958 represents the WAC in our next All-Time NIT tournament game, led by Elgin Baylor, as they face the 13-seed Stephen F. Austin 2016 and Thomas Walkup  representing the Southland Conference in our Value Add Basketball Game.

All 31 conference were guaranteed a spot in either out all-time NCAA tournament of the 20 teams vying for greatest ever of our 358 teams in the Value Add Basketball Game, or our NIT of 20 non-power conference champs. The 5 power conferences were the only to have a second team make the all-time tournament, and the Big 10 grabbed 6 of the 20 spots.

The Pac-12 is not in the tournament based in this year's conference spots as their great historic teams are in the Big Ten now, but as the tables below show Gonzaga makes next year's Pac-8 the 5th best current conference.

The following are all conferences with their best current team and their ranking (e.g. the Atlantic 10 is presented by VCU, currently No. 36 at www.kenpom.com).  then we list any all-time teams from that conference, so the 1963 Loyola-Chicago ream is representing the A10 in the NCAA as the 20th (last) seed).

We place the all-time teams in the conference in which they currently play. However, if we updated for the conferences where they are about to play, Seattle would not be in our tournament because they are moving to the West Coast Conference, which will be represented by Bill Russell and the 1956 San Francisco team, and based on next year's conferences, Gonzaga would be in the tournament as the top Pac-8 team, but the conference is not represented this year as teams move around.

Below this table is a list of the Pac-8, Mountain West and West Coast if all teams had already moved. If that were the case, then the Pac-8 would move ahead of the ACC as the 5th best conference right now, the Mountain West would drop from 6th to 10th, and the WCC would rank 12th.Below that are links to the star player on all 40 teams in our tournaments plus Gonzaga.
