$1612 tix for "shoe" rematch & All-Conference March Madness game

We now have playing cards for our 10 All-Conference Selection players - just click here to play.

Even with Zion Williamson not expected to play in the rematch from when his shoe exploded against UNC, the average rematch ticket is $1612. Meanwhile the 32 conference tournaments deciding who is on the March Madness brackets in 9 days includes a title game between two of the top Christian schools (see my piece on Liberty and Lipscomb in the Western Journal), and likely a "Catholic" Big East Championship when I am in Madison Square Garden next Saturday - unless the one non-Catholic Big East team Butler makes the title game.
The rest range from the ACC, Big Ten, Big 12 and SEC where many teams will make it regardless, to the smaller conferences where only the champion gets in the big bracket.

Based on the feedback to releasing the Value Add Basketball game, we simplified the cards so that you can easily line-up the dice (see below, 8-sided dice shows who gets the ball in left column, middle two determine defenses ability to deny shot, and right 20-sided determines the result of the shot).

This enabled me to select All-Conference teams for all 32 conferences and set up four 8-team regions for a March Madness preview simulation tournament. This google doc contains the match-ups, the all-conference selections, and the playing cards for all players so you can match them up for yourself. The ACC team defeated the MEAC team 85-65 in the 1-seed vs. 8-seed simulation in the East, while a Stephen F. Austin 3-pointer helped the Southland open a first half lead before the SEC rallied to avoid and upset in the South 1-seed vs. 8-seed
game.

The google sheet includes a scoresheet, as well as instructions with a photo below which seems to make it easy for people to pick up and play quickly - but you do need an 8-sided die, 20-sided die and two traditional 6-sided dice of different colors to pay.

Just for fun, we seeded based on www.kenpom.com, which meant my Big East fell to a 2-seed in a rebuilding year after being in the top three each of the past few years.
