We finally plan to get in another Statis-Pro game this weekend, to start our Group E pool play. Each 3-team pool allows four starters from each team to start - two against one team and two against another.
San Francisco will sit out the first game in this pool play, leaving an All-Star match up of the Brewers Jacob Misiorowski against the Blue Jays Dylan Cease - both PB 2-9 pitchers. Cease actually projected more strikeouts for the season as both their cards are now dominant and it could take manufacturing some runs.
Below shows what it looks like to go to the batters and pitchers google sheet and select only the area to print for each team.
Luis Lara is the exciting new player on the batters side. Even though he has only two games and eight at bats going into the game, hit projections and Statis-Pro card make him a potential star already and the Last Word on Sports site believes he could be the NL Rookie of the Year as outlined in this piece.
Lara is only 21 years old and has 24 steals in the half season at Nashville (Triple A) to follow-up on 44 steals at the Double A level last year. He also hit 9 homers in the half year at Nashville with and defensive ratings are good and definitely some long-term power potential to be hitting that many homers in a half year at 21 years old. Here is what the four screens looked like as I printed the batters and pitchers for both teams..png)
