With Baseball Gone, Back to All-Time College Basketball

We consolidated all instruction blogs for Value Add Basketball to this Master Instructions Blog.

We started back up with 48 all-time great college basketball teams battling it out in the Value Add Basketball Game. To play, you need to use these links to print player cards (see Purdue's 2018 cards below), a scoresheet (image below or this google sheet), detailed instructions, and this rebound chart. Once those items are printed, pick up a 20-sided die, 8-sided die and two 6-sided dice of different colors and you are ready to play.

Competition is so tough among the great college basketball teams of the century that 43 of 48 lost at least one of their first three games. That left only Syracuse 2003, Kansas 2008, Purdue 2018, Kentucky 2012 and Auburn 2019 able to start 3-0 before I switched to Statis-Pro baseball.

Auburn (2019) 75, Kentucky (2012) 67 - Auburn's Chuma Okeke blitzed Kentucky in the real life 2019 before being injured, and Auburn still just missed beating UVa in the Final 4 without their best player. As we resumed the all-time game, that Auburn team unloaded on early 3 pointers and steals to run out to a 55-38 lead with 13:20 to play. Kentucky stormed back despite not hitting any three-pointers. Trailing 70-65 with 1:15 to play they put three-point shooters Darius Miller and Kyle Wiltjer - and one what we know from the dice roll would have been a made 3-pointer by Wiltjer to make it a 70-68 game, Okeke stepped in front for a steal that very few front line players would have been able to get. Okeke hit a three in the final minute, and Auburn won the battle of unbeatens to go to 4-0, while Kentucky fell to 3-1.
