Deja vu - Tucker HR Barely Makes It Out to Tie, then Schwarber Same Spot HR to Make Phillies Statis-Pro World Series Champs

The Los Angeles Dodgers rallied from a 3-0 deficit to keep their hopes alive for a fifth Statis-Pro Baseball title in seven years when Kyle Tucker hit a DEEP drive on his card, and the subsequent random number of "42" barely made it out of Citizens Bank Park (Home Run 11-45, Deep Fly Out 46-88) to tie the game, 3-3, in the top of the 8th.

In an all-time déjà vu moment, Kyle Schwarber then hit a DEEP fly as well, and it left the park in the same spot, just over the fence, on the same "42" random number. A "42" is deep enough for a home run in only nine of 30 MLB parks, while DEEP flies in an average park go out on an 11-35.

José Alvarado then wrapped up the win with a 1-2-3 9th inning, and the Philadelphia Phillies, in their first World Series appearance in our 11 modern Statis-Pro seasons, shocked the heavily favored Dodgers to end their streak. The Phillies barely beat out the Seattle Mariners, who had lost the last two Statis-Pro World Series to the Dodgers, to make the final round with L.A. and the Tampa Bay Rays.

Because Tampa won the tiebreaker with the Dodgers, the Rays are officially the runner-up for the second Statis-Pro season, having also lost to the Dodgers in our 2020 Statis-Pro World Series.

Just for fun, we finished off the rest of our four-colored deck with a 29th place game - and the Colorado Rockies beat the LA Angels 8-2. Edouard Julien's 3-run homer keyed a 7-run 3rd inning that made it 8-2 amd no scored the rest of the way. Gabriel Hughes allowed only one hit in outching the scoreless 5th, 6th and 7th for the win. We have now played all 30 teams to make sure there are no mistakes in rosters so you can play any team you want. Scroll down for a photo of theor scoresheet.
