Playing with this 1978 set of fast action cards, Fielding charts and board, the much improved St. Louis Cardinals held on for a 5-3 win at Wrigley Field to open our Group F play. Kansas City is the third team in the pool.
At the start of the season the Cubs seemed the heavy favorite in this pool, but the Cardinals have been a big surprise and are within a few games of them in the actual MLB standings.
