VCU and BYU met in the opening round of March Madness 2025, and then both lost by single digits in the opening round of our tournament of new Value Add Basketball teams due to one long drought.
A very balanced and top 10 Idaho team from 1982 with no superstars held VCU scoreless for 8 minutes for a stretched out 10-0 run to balloon their lead to 56-41 with six minutes to play en route to a 60-52 win.
The become our 13th Sweet 16 team in our tournament of new teams.
Below bolden teams have advance to Sweet 16, crossed out teams eliminated. Italics still need to play in a preliminary game so would need 2 wins to make Sweet 16.
